No licence, no training, no experience needed. On our tandem flights you ride in the passenger seat while a pilot with more than ten years in the air does all the flying. Here is how the day unfolds.
Pickup and arrival
We collect you from your hotel in Chiang Mai city and drive out to our airfield in San Kamphaeng. Flights run daily, 06:30-09:00 in the morning and 16:00-17:30 in the late afternoon, when the air is calmest.
The briefing
While the crew lays out the wing, your pilot explains how to sit, where to keep your hands and what to expect on take-off and landing. You suit up, put on a helmet and get a GoPro to film your flight.
Take-off and the flight
A paramotor has its own engine, so it launches after a short roll across flat ground. Within a minute you are climbing to roughly 1,500 ft. For the next 15-20 minutes you look down on rice fields, villages, the hills ringing the Chiang Mai valley and, on clear days, Mae Kuang Dam.
What to wear
Long trousers, closed shoes that won't slip off, and a light layer for winter mornings. Leave loose hats and scarves on the ground.
Limits and booking
Passengers should weigh under 100 kg and be roughly 140-190 cm tall. You pay a deposit online to lock in your slot and settle the balance in cash at the airfield. If the weather is not safe, we move your flight for free.
